Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of a client in the beauty, skincare, and wellness industry, is seeking a strategically inclined Human Resources Business Partner to drive the alignment of people strategy with business objectives. This role requires a candidate who can move beyond operational HR to translate business strategy into effective people frameworks, particularly within a fast-paced, sales and marketing-driven B2C environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic thinking, consulting exposure, and the ability to design and implement scalable organizational solutions that directly impact business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning HR strategy with business and commercial
objectives.
Translate business priorities into actionable people strategies, frameworks, and initiatives.
Design and maintain organizational structures aligned to growth, efficiency, and scalability.
Lead workforce planning linked to revenue targets, expansion plans, and operational needs.
Develop clear role definitions, success profiles, and capability frameworks across functions.
Own and drive performance management frameworks to strengthen accountability and high performance.
Analyze performance data and recommend targeted interventions to improve business outcomes.
Lead succession planning and build leadership pipelines aligned to future business needs.
Develop conceptual frameworks to guide decision-making in performance, career progression, compensation, and organizational development.
Oversee implementation of job grading, salary structures, and compensation frameworks ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
Ensure disciplined role approval, workforce cost management, and alignment to budgets.
Partner with leadership to strengthen team effectiveness, capability, and organizational design.
Provide consultative support on organizational challenges, using structured problem-solving approaches.
Advise on employee relations matters and lead resolution of complex performance and workplace
issues.
Drive employee engagement initiatives and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies, governance frameworks, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in a strategic HR role (HRBP, HR Strategy, Organizational Development) with
clear evidence of business impact.
Prior experience in strategic consulting or strategy-focused roles is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in B2C, FMCG, or consumer-focused industries, particularly in
environments driven by sales and marketing.
Strong understanding of how HR strategy adapts to and supports evolving business models and
growth stages.
Experience in at least one core HR area such as performance management, organizational
development, compensation, or talent strategy.
Proven ability to develop conceptual frameworks and translate them into practical, scalable
solutions.
Experience working closely with senior leadership and influencing strategic decision-making.
Strong analytical, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management systems.
Familiarity with compensation structures, job grading, and pay-for-performance principles.
Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills.
Professional HR certification (IHRM, SHRM, CIPD, or HRCI) is an added advantage.
