About the school
An inclusive Christian international school offering the Cambridge curriculum is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, innovative and highly competent ICT / Computer Science Teacher,
who will also take on the responsibility of Homeroom Teacher.
The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and education and able to inspire students to develop strong digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving and technology skills. In addition to teaching ICT/Computer Studies/Computer Science, the candidate should have the ability to teach Coding and Robotics.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning
● Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and challenging lessons in ICT and any other assigned subject to learners in Key Stages 2 and 3.
● Teach practical Coding and Programming, introducing students to age-appropriate programming concepts, computational thinking and problem-solving.
● Deliver Robotics lessons and practical technology-based projects that encourage creativity, innovation, collaboration and design thinking.
● Incorporate practical, project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches into lessons to develop students’ confidence in using technology.
● Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities, including students with additional learning needs.
● Use appropriate digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
● Assess, record and report on student progress in line with the schools assessment policies and Cambridge expectations.
● Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support continuous improvement.
● Prepare students for progression from KS3 and, importantly, support them in understanding the different technology-related pathways available to them at Key Stage 4.
2. Curriculum Development & Enrichment
● Contribute to the development and review of the school's ICT, Computer Science, Coding and Robotics curriculum.
● Develop innovative technology projects, competitions, clubs and enrichment activities.
● Support or lead Coding, Robotics, STEM and technology-related clubs and activities.
● Keep abreast of emerging technologies and developments in computing education.
● Encourage students to participate in technology competitions, exhibitions and innovation projects where appropriate.
● Contribute to the integration of technology across the wider school curriculum.
3. Homeroom Teacher Responsibilities
● Serve as a class teacher for an assigned class.
● Take responsibility for students’ academic progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
● Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and development.
● Build strong relationships with students to support personal growth.
● Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and school platforms.
● Promote student welfare in line with safeguarding policies.
● Act as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and inclusivity.
● Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
● Bachelors degree in Education – Computer Science/Computer Studies and another teaching subject.
● Experience teaching ICT, Computer Studies or Computer Science at Key Stage 2 and/or Key Stage 3.
● Minimum 5 years teaching experience.
● Strong knowledge of coding/programming languages and computational thinking.
● Good understanding of the Cambridge curriculum.
● Valid TSC number.
