Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide safe, careful and efficient vessel load/discharge services in accordance with safe systems of work.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to corporate policies and procedures;
• Transfer cargo manually into and out of freight containers (Manual Handling);
• Attend to mooring and unmooring of vessels as well as shifting, fastening or releasing of lines of the vessel;
• Ensure all used equipment and tools are safely and securely stored;
• Operate basic power and hand tools;
• Clean and make minor repairs to equipment, tools and/ or facilities;
• Perform general laboring duties on various tasks as assigned by the foreman;
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
