Job summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join our legal team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will provide legal support on property transactions, land development projects, conveyancing, and regulatory compliance under Kenyan law.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Provide legal advice on land acquisition, property development, and real estate investments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, and development agreements.
- Conduct legal due diligence on land titles and property transactions.
- Oversee conveyancing processes including transfers, charges, discharges, and registration of property interests.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Kenyan land and real estate laws and regulations.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, land registries, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare periodic legal reports and updates for management.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in real estate, property law, or conveyancing.
- Confirmed experience in real estate development projects.
- Strong organizational and methodological skills with the ability to manage multiple legal matters efficiently.
- Ability to prepare clear and structured legal documentation and reports.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Swahili is required; French is an added advantage.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
