Job Summary
As a regional Engineering Manager, you are responsible for leading a team of multi-skilled maintenance officers and technicians, providing engineering solutions, budgeting and cost control, planning and actioning PPM Schedules, developing and implementing policies and SOPs, and stakeholder management.

Job Description/Requirements
- Analyse and deep dive on maintenance tickets across all properties and the central repair centre to identify focused maintenance areas.
- Oversee and support fast restoration of out-of-order rooms due to maintenance works.
- Manage the efficiency of the central repair centre to ensure appliances are sent back to properties within the set TAT.
- Order and maintain PAR stock levels of essential spares and tools.
- Work closely with the procurement to ensure quality purchases of spares, tools, and equipment.
- Develop SOPs, work instructions, Checklists, Engineering reference material, and good engineering practices.
- Develop PPM Schedules for building maintenance, fleet maintenance, and AMCs.
- Monitor utilities consumption and identify areas of continuous improvement.
- Monitor output and efficiency of Solar plants installed in the properties.
- Carry out periodic Utility Audits across operational properties and identify areas of improvement as per EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) Green Building Certification.
- Ensure works done by contractors are as per the scope of work and all the set safety procedures are adhered to.
- Build, manage, and maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory audits, inspections, and licenses and internal HSSE standards.
- Come up with innovative ideas and engineering solutions directed at reducing OPEX.
- Closely monitor utilities to flag out any wastage and perform RCA to ensure a one-time resolution.
- Work closely with procurement to ensure quality purchases and value for money.
- Prioritize and properly allocate resources within the maintenance budget.
- Assign duties and supervise works done by maintenance officers and technician
- Work closely with the HR department on hiring, developing, and the welfare of staff.
- Plan for multiskilling training and workshops for staff.
- Enhance team motivation and teamwork through team-building sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Registered by a professional body.
- Minimum Seven (7) years of work experience with at least 5 years in a Supervisory role. Having worked in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate with proper follow-up.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems first time.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting and P&L management.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of on-site maintenance requirements including dealing with vendors and contractors.
- Good analytical skills
