Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (located in Homabay, 20% travel)
In this role, you will be a key member within the Victory Farms Partnerships Department, where the roles and responsibilities are as below but not limited to:
➢ Lead planning of needs assessments with sector coordinators and other partners, where necessary. Lead development of baseline surveys as necessary.
➢ Design benchmarking standards for quality monitoring and accountability measures;and train staff upon roll out.
➢ Support a data quality improvement and information management initiative across the region.
➢ Strengthen data analysis and use across program sectors, creating actionable reports for key stakeholders.
➢ Ensure that all programs are designed and implemented in accordance with international standards and the VF integrated approach.
➢ Assist with proposal and grant modification development and design as needed.
➢ Ensure MEL resources are included at the proposal design stage to be integrated in crisis response programs.
➢ Create a beneficiary complaints mechanism and work with sector coordinators to train staff and implement within program activities.
➢ Develop, implement & supervise an M&E system and oversee routine activities.
➢ Ensure the quality and relevance of the monitoring and evaluation design.
➢ Establish, implement and manage monitoring, evaluation.
➢ The purpose of this role is to provide timely, accurate information on work-stream / task implementation.
What we are looking for:
➢ Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, research, reporting, data quality assessments, data analysis and presentation.
➢ High level understanding of assessment of metrics, comparative analysis, and future projections based off of improvement.
➢ Familiarity with data mining applications used to retrieve information for analysis, as well as electronic reporting tools.
➢ Excellent oral and written communication skills, evidenced by comfort in sharing and interpreting report data with superiors and preparing statements to be reviewed by stakeholders.
➢ Organized and detailed in all aspects of work.
➢ Demonstrated experience and knowledge in developing M&E systems and overseeing the collection and analysis of metrics and complaints mechanisms.
➢ Demonstrated experience in training on M&E systems and data collection.
➢ Demonstrated experience remote managing and training staff.
➢ Proficiency with database management software and on-line search tools required.
➢ Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems
➢ Experience in database management.
➢ Experience in planning and managing surveys.
➢ Experience developing and refining data collection tools.
➢ Experience with data quality assessments and oversight
Education and experience:
➢ Degree in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field.
➢ 2+ Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private company.
➢ Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
