Location :  Eastern By Pass , Nairobi.

Salary Range  : 50K -60K .

Our client is a leading Hass Avocado producer and exporter  in East Africa. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality controller  to  ensure that the avocado fruits meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. 

Key Responsibilities 

✅ Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.

✅ Oversee compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000, etc.).

✅ Lead and mentor the QC team, ensuring efficient workflows and training.

✅ Monitor production processes, resolve quality issues, and reduce waste.

✅ Conduct internal and external audits, manage corrective actions, and maintain documentation.

✅ Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.

✅ Stay updated on industry regulations and export requirements.

✅ Investigate quality-related incidents and customer complaints. 

Qualifications & Experience

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Horticulture, Microbiology, or a related field.

✔️ Minimum 3 years of experience in food processing quality control  (preferably fresh/frozen produce).

✔️ Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).

✔️ Proven leadership and team management skills.

✔️ Experience with avocado processing and export compliance is an advantage.

✔️ Certification in food safety or quality management (e.g., HACCP, ISO Lead Auditor) is a plus.
