Location:Â Mafinga, Tanzania
Type:Â Full-Time
Reports To:Â Operations Director
Role Overview:Â The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at our Mafinga site. This includes managing staff, overseeing project execution, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem-solver, capable of multitasking and leading by example to drive our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead, motivate, and develop site staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and manage site budgets and financials, including forecasting and cost control.
- Liaise with local communities, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Implement and oversee maintenance schedules for all site equipment and infrastructure.
- Report regularly to senior management on site performance and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in site management, preferably in an industrial or environmental project setting.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian environmental regulations and standards.
- Ability to work in a multicultural setting and foster a positive working environment.
