Job Description/Requirements
Reporting to the head teacher the candidate will be responsible for the lower/upper classes.Â
Key responsibilities
and duties:
o   Planning and preparing teaching and learning materials
o   Delivering learning to learners and ensuring the syllabus is covered within the term and annually
o   Preparing and maintain the professional documents i.e., schemes of work, lesson plans, record of work covered, register and other documents
o   Adopting teaching methodology that is appropriate for the individual learners
o   Assigning homework, correcting and marking as a follow up of what the learners have learnt in class
o   Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
o   Carrying out learners’ assessment, recording and reporting on the development, progress and behaviour of each learner
o   Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development of the learners such as games, arts and craft, music and story telling
o   Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and other experiential activities and guide learners in those activities
o   Establish and enforce rules of behaviour and policies to maintain discipline among the learners
Qualification and experience
o   A holder of degree/diploma in ECD, P1 or equivalent
o   At least 3 years working experience teaching the lower primary. Please indicate your subjects of delivery.
o   A good communicator, able to provide clear and effective written and verbal communication
o   CBC training and TSC certification
o   Ability to work under minimum supervision
o   Proficiency in Microsoft office packagesÂ
