Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their client in the beauty, skincare, and wellness industry, is looking for
a dynamic, enthusiastic, hands-on and highly technical Tech Ops and Systems Lead . The Tech
Ops and Systems Lead will own and maintain the entire back-end engine of Uncover across E-
commerce, ERP, WMS, Whats App Commerce, 3PL, and all internal IT systems. Ensure every platform
runs reliably, syncs accurately, and scales cleanly as the business grows. This is a hands-on technical
role focused on integration, automation, system health, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Own back end architecture across Shopify, Sukhiba, ERP, WMS, accounting systems, WhatsApp
Commerce, and 3PL tools.
Maintain all data flows, syncs, callbacks, and APIs powering the D2C and operations stack.
Ensure platform stability, clean deployments, and minimal downtime.
Serve as the technical owner for all back end vendors and platforms.
Lead debugging, maintenance, log reviews, and escalation management.
Ensure fast turnaround on incidents through strong vendor follow-up.
Maintain SKU, order, customer, and inventory accuracy across all connected systems.
Own historical data migration, cleanup, and ongoing hygiene.
Prevent data drifts by establishing stable monitoring and validation rules.
Maintain backups, access control, permission management, and cybersecurity protocols.
Oversee IT systems including laptops, email accounts, networks, and SaaS licenses.
Ensure robust documentation, audit trails, and secure system practices.
Build and maintain monitoring dashboards, automated alerts, and back-end scripts to reduce
manual work and prevent failures.
Ensure clean, accurate data pipelines and own the D2C master dashboard and reporting
infrastructure.
Provide clear weekly visibility into system health, risks, and key incidents.
Partner with Product Growth Manager to enable smooth feature rollouts and backend support
during launches.
Align with CX, Operations, Finance, and D2C on back end needs and system improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a
related technical field.
Proven experience managing backend systems across eCommerce, ERP, WMS, and related
platforms.
Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, data synchronization, and system architecture.
Experience managing technical vendors and third-party platforms.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system errors and manage incident resolution.
Strong understanding of data integrity, system reliability, and operational monitoring.
Ability to manage deployments and backend updates efficiently.
