The Transport Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all fleet operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and integrity to manage drivers, vehicles, and transport schedules effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the company’s fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and properly maintained.
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate transport schedules to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Implement cost-effective strategies for fleet management and logistics.
- Train and supervise drivers, promoting safe driving practices and accountability.
- Handle incident reporting, accident investigations, and resolution of transport-related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational and logistical requirements.
- Uphold honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all transport operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fleet management.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
