Waiter / Waitress

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Waiter at Peponi's located in Nairobi. As a vital part of our floor team, you'll deliver warm, attentive service and help create memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

We want someone who represents integrity through and through, will build genuine connections with guests, and communicate with clarity with management.

Responsibilities

• Constantly keep management informed of guest feedback, shift issues, or mistakes
• Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence, and enthusiasm, ensuring their experience is smooth from start to finish
• Take orders accurately and communicate clearly with guests about menu options, wait times, and any concerns
• Deliver food and drinks with care and attention to detail
• Communicate openly and effectively with the bar, kitchen, and fellow team members to keep service running seamlessly
• Anticipate guest needs, respond to feedback with professionalism, and resolve issues promptly and honestly
• Be transparent and dependable – if something goes wrong, own it and make it right
• Uphold a polished, approachable, and professional appearance that reflects Peponi's brand
• Keep your service area clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times

Qualifications

• Integrity and honesty in all interactions with guests, colleagues, and management
• Strong communication skills – you speak clearly, listen actively, and keep guests informed
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress preferred, but we'll train the right attitude
• A genuine passion for hospitality and making people feel welcome
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Attention to detail in guest care and order accuracy
• A warm, energetic, and approachable personality that fits the Peponi's vibe
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
