CHINESE INTERPRATER / TRANSLATOR
Job summary
We’re looking for a fluent Chinese-English interpreter to bridge communication between Chinese-speaking clients, partners, and our internal teams. You’ll handle spoken interpretation in meetings, calls, and site visits, and occasionally translate written documents. Accuracy and cultural sensitivity are critical.
Job descriptions & requirements
1. Interpretation
- Provide real-time consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, negotiations, training sessions, and factory visits
- Interpret phone and video calls between Chinese and English speakers
- Convey tone, intent, and cultural context accurately, not just literal words
2. Translation
- Translate documents such as contracts, emails, technical manuals, and reports between Chinese and English
- Proofread and ensure translated materials are clear and industry-appropriate
3. Support & Coordination
- Assist with scheduling meetings across time zones
- Prepare glossaries and terminology lists for technical projects
- Brief clients and team members on cultural norms to avoid misunderstandings
- Maintain confidentiality of all business and client information
