DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Vehicle Maintenance and Serviceability

• Ensure that all assigned vehicles are cleaned regularly, both interior and exterior.
• Conduct routine checks on vehicles, including brakes, oil, tire pressure, coolant levels, lights, and other basic systems to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report any mechanical issues or irregularities to the Logistics Manager immediately.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced as per the recommended schedule and keep updated service records.

Transportation of Staff

• Transport staff to and from work, meetings, site visits, and other assigned destinations
• safely and promptly.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure comfort and safety for all passengers at all times.
• Adhere strictly to the prescribed routes unless instructed otherwise by the supervisor.

Collection and Delivery of Company Mail

• Collect company mail from the designated post office as per schedule.
• Deliver outgoing mail in a timely and secure manner.
• Ensure confidentiality and safety of any sensitive documents during transit.

Banking Duties

• Ferry the company cashier to and from banking institutions for daily banking transactions.
• Maintain utmost confidentiality and vigilance during such errands.
• Ensure security protocols are followed during all financial transportation duties.

Fueling Company Vehicles

• Refuel vehicles only at designated fuel stations using authorized fuel cards or vouchers.
• Keep accurate records of fuel consumption and submit fuel receipts and logs to the
• Logistics Department regularly.
• Report any irregularities in fuel usage or supply.

Transportation of Products and Raw Materials

• Pick up raw materials from suppliers and deliver to the factory or storage facilities.
• Load and offload goods responsibly, ensuring the safety of the products.
• Deliver finished goods to customers and other designated drop-off points efficiently and on time.

Distribution of Documents

• Distribute business documents (invoices, receipts, memos, etc.) to customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Ensure all documents are properly signed for and returned as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive documents.

Compliance and Safety

• Abide by all Kenyan traffic laws and regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean driving record with no history of careless or reckless driving.
• Follow company policies regarding vehicle use, reporting of incidents, and driving conduct.

General Duties

• Assist with loading/unloading goods where necessary.
• Perform any other lawful duties assigned by the Dispatch/Logistics Manager or other authorized personnel.
• Support the department in special tasks that may arise from time to time (e.g., urgent deliveries, emergency assignments).

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum of 5 years of clean and accident-free driving experience in a commercial or corporate environment
• Clean and valid PSV driving licence
• Must have some mechanical skills
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Presentable and well-groomed
• A team player with a positive attitude
