Job descriptions & requirements

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will support monitoring, reporting, learning, and data management for the ECDE School Feeding Program and other assigned programs. The role focuses on strengthening accountability, improving reporting systems, supporting digital data management, and generating evidence to support program learning and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools, indicators, and reporting systems.
  • Conduct routine field monitoring visits and verification of program activities and reported data.
  • Support digital data collection, data cleaning, validation, storage, and analysis.
  • Maintain beneficiary databases and monitoring records.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools for management and program teams.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and field observations.
  • Support the use of AI and digital systems for reporting, learning, and program tracking.
  • Train staff and beneficiaries on data collection, reporting, and record keeping.
  • Work closely with schools, field teams, and communities to strengthen reporting quality and coordination.
  • Support other tasks assigned by management.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Nutrition, Public Health, Statistics, Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Preferably trained or experienced in nutrition, school feeding, or child-focused programs.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation or data management within development programs.
  • Experience using digital data collection tools and reporting systems.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and the Google Workspace environment.
  • Exposure to AI tools and digital reporting systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and conduct fieldwork in rural communities.
  • Passion for community development, nutrition, and sustainable development.
