Job summary
An established farm located in the outskirts of Lusoi Area, Nyeri County, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Farm Manager to professionalize and drive the farm into a fully-fledged agribusiness. Location: Lusoi Area Nyeri County
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and manage a team of farm hands.
• Develop and implement production plan on dairy cows, goats, poultry and crop production.
• Performance targets and indicators periodically.
• Implement efficient irrigation and water management systems.
• Keep a detailed and accurate crop production and livestock records.
• Ensure best practices in zero grazing, animal nutrition and farm productivity.
Qualification:
• Degree/Diploma in Agriculture or a related field
• At least 2 years’ hands-on farm management experience (evidence required)
• Willingness to reside on the farm
• Proven experience in zero grazing and animal nutrition
Personal Attributes:
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong organizational and reporting skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently
