Gypsum Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gypsum Technician to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation and finishing of gypsum panels and partitions, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior technicians in the installation of gypsum panels, drywall, and related materials.
  
• Measure, cut, and fit panels to specific dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
  
• Apply joint compounds and tape to seams to prepare surfaces for finishing.
  
• Help sand and smooth panels to achieve a uniform finish.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand specifications and requirements.
  
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition and ensure proper storage.
  
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or project managers.
  
• Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in drywall installation or related field is a plus.
  
• Basic knowledge of gypsum products, installation techniques, and tools.
  
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
• Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, standing, reaching, and bending for extended periods.
  
• Willingness to learn and take direction from more experienced technicians.
  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
