About the Role
We are looking for a highly independent iOS Software Developer with strong Swift expertise to join us on a long-term contract basis.
The initial objective is to develop a modern shopping list application. The product architecture, UI/UX assets, and design specifications are already prepared, allowing you to focus on delivering a high-quality implementation.
This is not just a one-off project. After the initial release, you will continue maintaining, improving, and expanding the application with new features and enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Develop a native iOS application using Swift.
- Implement features based on an existing architecture and design.
- Deliver clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Maintain and enhance the application after launch.
- Proactively suggest improvements to performance, usability, and code quality.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong professional experience developing native iOS applications with Swift.
- Demonstrated production experience with agentic coding workflows is mandatory. You should be highly proficient with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Codex, Windsurf, or similar and know how to use them to build production-grade software efficiently.
- Experience with Google Firebase (or a comparable Backend-as-a-Service platform) including authentication, cloud storage, databases, notifications, analytics, or similar services.
- Proven ability to use AI as a development accelerator while maintaining excellent software engineering standards.
- Intermediate photo editing skills, with experience using Adobe Photoshop (or similar professional image editing software) to prepare, optimize, and adjust app assets, screenshots, icons, and marketing visuals when needed.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Own a recent MacBook suitable for modern iOS development.
- Own a current iPhone and/or iPad for testing.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Highly self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Experience publishing applications to the Apple App Store.
- Automated testing and CI/CD experience.
- Knowledge of MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architectural patterns.
What We Offer
- Fully remote, long-term contract opportunity.
- Ready-to-use architecture, UI assets, and design specifications.
- Opportunity to influence future product development.
- Flexible working hours.
- Long-term engagement beyond the initial release.
How to Apply
Please include the following in your application:
- A brief description of your current work setup.
