DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Management
· Install, configure, maintain, and administer enterprise applications, ERP systems, and operational software.
· Monitor application availability, performance, and functionality to minimize disruptions to business and manufacturing operations.
· Maintain application configurations, documentation, user access, and system records.
Application Support & Troubleshooting
· Diagnose and resolve application-related incidents and provide timely technical support to users.
· Investigate recurring application problems and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
· Escalate complex issues to vendors, developers, or specialized support teams when required.
ERP & Manufacturing Systems
· Support ERP and operational systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms used across the organization.
· Work with business and production teams to ensure applications effectively support inventory, procurement, finance, quality, production, and supply chain processes.
· Identify opportunities to optimize applications and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Application Integration & Development
· Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to customize applications and develop solutions for manufacturing requirements.
· Support integrations between ERP, operational applications, databases, and other IT or manufacturing systems.
· Use scripting and database technologies such as Python and SQL to support automation, reporting, troubleshooting, and integration activities.
Updates, Patching & Change Management
· Plan and implement application upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and system enhancements.
· Test application changes and integrations before deployment to minimize operational risks.
· Maintain appropriate change-management procedures and ensure compatibility between integrated systems.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
· Monitor application performance and analyze system data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
· Implement improvements that enhance application reliability, processing speed, and user experience.
· Track application performance and generate reports on system usage, availability, and efficiency.
User Support & Training
· Provide technical guidance and support to users across business and manufacturing functions.
· Develop user guides and conduct training sessions on application functionality and best practices.
· Gather user feedback and translate operational requirements into practical application improvements.
Software Security & Compliance
· Ensure applications are configured and maintained in accordance with IT security and data protection requirements.
· Monitor software licensing, user access, and compliance with applicable organizational standards.
· Support security assessments, audits, vulnerability remediation, and application access reviews.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate application documentation, configuration records, procedures, and support knowledge bases.
· Document application incidents, changes, integrations, and resolutions.
· Prepare regular reports on application performance, usage, support activities, and improvement initiatives.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in software application management, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
· Proficiency in managing applications like SAP, Oracle, or similar operational systems.
· Strong analytical skills for assessing system efficiency and process optimization
· Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for automation and integration.
· Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent.
· Ability to train users and communicate technical concepts effectively.
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes to align software solutions with operational needs.
