Position: IT Intern
Department: Information Technology (ICT)
Reports To: ICT Officer
Position Summary
The IT Intern will support the day-to-day ICT operations of Medprime Training College by providing technical assistance to staff and students, maintaining computer systems and network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of digital learning resources and ICT equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for computers, printers, internet connectivity, software applications, and other ICT equipment.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Assist in maintaining the institution's network, Wi-Fi, computer laboratories, and ICT equipment.
- Support digital learning platforms, institutional systems, and user account management.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, data backup, and ensure compliance with ICT security procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT assets and document technical support activities.
- Provide ICT support during meetings, trainings, online classes, examinations, and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, Microsoft Office, and Windows operating systems.
- Previous internship or practical ICT experience will be an added advantage.
