Job summary
The Lead QA/QC will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems to ensure products, processes, and operations comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and Kenyan regulatory requirements, including the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and other statutory bodies.
Job descriptions & requirements
Quality Systems & Compliance • Establish, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies, SOPs, and quality standards. • Ensure compliance with KEBS regulations and other applicable Kenyan statutory and certification requirements. • Coordinate product testing, certification, inspections, and approvals with KEBS and relevant regulatory authorities. • Monitor quality of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Audits & Continuous Improvement • Lead internal and external audits and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). • Investigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination • Train, mentor, and supervise QA/QC team members on quality systems, compliance requirements, and best practices. • Liaise with Production, Procurement, and Management teams to maintain consistent quality standards. • Ensure documentation and record-keeping are accurate, updated, and audit-ready.
