Our client is looking for a Private Equity Financial Analyst to join their interdisciplinary team of renewable energy industry professionals.

You need to use your analytical mindset to interpret and translate complex financial data into deal papers and investment memorandums. Financial modelling and valuations for energy infrastructure project finance and growth equity are crucial elements of this role.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in field of financial analysis and valuations in the renewable energy sector

Experience Requirements

4+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry in two of the following: Financial analysisFinancial valuationData analysisProject finance modelling and analysis Experience with macros and VBA preferable Proven proficiency of data analytics

Responsibilities

In this role, you would collaborate closely with all offices, regional counterparts, market and industry groups, and key stakeholders across clean energy and resource efficiency investment themes. Your role would involve conducting market research and analysis, and originating fund-fit deals. You would also assist with investment and fund valuations, negotiation, execution, monitoring, value creation, and exit of portfolio investments. Responsibilities include report writing, drafting deal papers and investment memorandums, and financial modelling and valuations for energy infrastructure and growth equity companies.

You would utilise your analytical and technical skills to produce high-quality research, datasets, and financial models that inform the investment team's advice. Your responsibilities would include maintaining and improving the accuracy of financial analysis and sector datasets, providing accurate analysis on financial models, and identifying innovative financing solutions. You would work with various data sources to analyse information, develop research ideas, and collaborate with the investment team to contribute to the company's strategic direction. Additionally, you would continually expand your technical knowledge through training programs and take proactive ownership of key areas of responsibility.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting treatment and tax Advanced financial modelling in MS Excel (construction and operations, forecasting/budgeting, financial structuring, valuation methodologies, refinancing and M&A, sensitivity and scenario analysis) Excellent grasp of the MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Teams etc) Out-of-the box problem-solving ability Excellent multi-tasker Fluent in English, French, and Portuguese proficiency highly desirable
