Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Reports to: Executive Director

The role of this position is to lead and manage the operation of the restaurants. The Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of the restaurants, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer
relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, and retention of team members; The manager is responsible for financial and operations accountability of the restaurants, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are consistently delivered to each customer.
Activities & Responsibilities
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the following:
o Manage day to day operations of the restaurants, incorporating our core values and mission into the daily management and execution.
o Controls profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
o Develop and maintain restaurant SOPs
o Planning and costing menus
o Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards
o Coordination of timely food production
o Continuously check food quality and presentation coming from the kitchen.
o Ensure Customer Service: To Sell, To Service, To Satisfy, and to see the Guest again
o Create Sales Opportunities within the restaurant
o Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
o Supervision of floor during operation.
o Define, implement, and track service level standards
o Cultivate a culture of providing the highest level of hospitality between the guests and employees.
o Develop and implement sales strategies
o Carry out market research to inform restaurant strategies, drive efficiencies and service delivery
Activities & Responsibilities
o Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs.
o Promoting and marketing the business
o Responsible for marketing direction and creative promotions and community events
o Conduct competitive research and report trends and recommendations Handling customer enquiries and complaints
o Produce and implement staff rotas; schedules should be effective to responsibly provide customer service and team support and target labour goals
o Proactive in problem solving, utilizing expertise to create effective action plans to find areas of opportunities and resolve issues
o Daily evaluation of restaurant service performance
o Preparing and presenting business reports
o Keeping statistical and financial records
o Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
o Responsible for the Health and Safety of your entire Team and Customers
o Handling administration and paperwork
o Identify opportunities for improvement and lead improvement projects to grow the business
o Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization within the restaurants
o Upkeep and attention to care of equipment and arrangements for repairs, contracts, and other services
o Coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control.
o Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
o Set and monitor performance targets for staff
o Participate in hiring and termination decisions and make recommendations for disciplinary action as necessary
o Responsible for all resolutions for customers and employees
o Convene weekly business review meetings
o Convene monthly staff check in meetings
o Provide career development, coaching, training, and skill building for all staff in to meet both organisational and personal development goals.
o Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators in planning, logistics, warehousing, quality assurance and compliance to ensure that customer/stakeholder requirements and supply chain metrics are met.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill & Ability
o Degree in Hospitality Management
o Professional qualification and membership to a professional body
o 2-5 years of restaurant management experience
o Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage restaurant operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction.

Ksh. 50,000 per month Gross and a 3% commission on profits made quarterly.
