Rigger - Fiber Optic and Network Installations

Purpose of the Role

The Rigger will be responsible for supporting fiber optic and network installation projects, including pole climbing, cable stringing, equipment mounting, and assisting in overhead infrastructure rollout. The role requires a physically fit and safety-conscious individual with strong technical ability and willingness to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and stringing of overhead fiber optic cables

• Assisting in erection and maintenance of telecom poles and related infrastructure

• Mounting and securing network equipment on poles and rooftops

• Supporting technicians during installation and maintenance work

• Ensuring adherence to safety standards while working at heights

• Carrying tools, materials, and equipment to site locations

• Performing basic inspections and reporting faults or hazards

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in rigging, construction, or telecom installations

• Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision

• Certificate of working at height will be an added advantage

• Willingness to work in different field locations as required
