About the Role:
Our Client a market leader in the industry is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Market Survey Supervisors for an upcoming short-term data collection project in Nairobi. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced marketing professionals looking for an intensive 2-month engagement. You will be responsible for overseeing a small field team, ensuring the accuracy of market data, and guaranteeing that survey objectives are met within strict timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of enumerators/data collectors in various Nairobi neighborhoods.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct back-checks and spot-checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of market data collected.
- Logistics: Coordinate daily fieldwork assignments, distribute materials, and ensure the team meets daily targets.
- Reporting: Compile daily progress reports and highlight any challenges encountered in the field to the Project Manager.
- Training: Assist in the brief training and onboarding of field staff before the survey launch.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Proven experience in marketing or market research.
- Must have previous experience supervising similar market surveys or data collection exercises within Nairobi County.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (ODK, SurveyCTO, Kobo Toolbox, etc.) is a strong advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
Personal Specifications:
- Residency: Must be a current resident of Nairobi and with its geography and administrative divisions.
- Availability: Ready to start immediately and commit to the full 2-month duration of the project.
