Travel Coordinator, Sr.

Travel Coordinator, Sr.:

Responsible for receiving travel requests from projects and processing with Amentum's travel partner Identify most suitable as well as best quality service with reasonable possible rates Requires collection, quality inspection review, and corrections to travel request submissions Coordinate, supervise and implement every aspects of travel arrangements for staff and executives  Perform with Travel Agency to verify travel details and arrange reservations using existing flight schedules as well as Internet resources. After training on Amentum policy and procedure, must be able to review requests for compliance, and work with project personnel to correct when necessary. Serve as primary contact point for both Amentum's projects and Amentum's travel provider. Use combination of online booking tools, email requests, and phone communications to initiate and resolve travel requests, exceptions, and issues. Assist reconciliation teams in obtaining and organizing all backup documentation and approvals. Provides formal travel training to the co-workers. Mentors the travel coordinators overall project responsibilities. Responsible for day to day assignment and prioritization of tasks.




 Bachelorâs Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.



3+ years of experience in a travel coordination, reservation management, or hotel service industry role Absolute fluency in English, both spoken and written (test will be required) Strong records management both manual and electronic Experience with electronic reservations and records management


  Language Skills:

Able to communicate professional, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing. Strong leadership and Able to read, collate, and organize complex travel documents and supporting material Ability to respond to questions from employees at all levels

  Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Self-directed and motivated. Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products. Intermediate Excel Skills and must be able to present concise and well organized reports using Excel. Beginner experience using Access Exceptional organization and time management skills. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and is detail-oriented Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), flexible with sound judgment, especially under stress is a necessity. Strong client services approach Advanced ability to handle multiple tasks and details in a dynamic, extremely demanding, and fast-paced environment Ability to work ânon-standardâ hours (weekends, evenings, early mornings)
