JOB LOCATION:NAIROBI

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely drive the company van to pick up and drop off pets from clients and homes across Nairobi.
• Ensure all pets are secured safely and comfortably during transit using appropriate restraints (e.g. crates, harnesses).
• Handle animals gently and confidently, especially nervous or reactive pets.
• Assist pet handlers or groomers with loading/unloading pets when necessary.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with pet owners regarding pickup/drop- off times, delays, or special instructions.
• Maintain a positive image of the company during all client interactions.
• Ensure all pets are collected and returned as scheduled, with proper documentation or confirmation.
• Keep the grooming van clean, sanitized, and well-organized at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, tire pressure, fluids, brakes, etc.) and report any issues promptly.
• Schedule and track routine servicing and inspections to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
• Follow established daily routes and optimize travel time based on traffic and location.
• Work closely with the scheduling or dispatch team to adjust routes and schedules as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Follow proper procedures when handling animals to avoid stress or injury.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation.
• Report any incidents involving pets, vehicle accidents, or traffic violations immediately.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum 3 years of experience driving mini vans in Nairobi
• Valid Kenyan driving license (Class B/C/E)
• In-depth knowledge of Nairobi routes, traffic patterns, and shortcuts
• Prior experience in pet transport or a pet-friendly environment is an added advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage time effectively
