Job summary
As an Accountant you will manages the financial operations of agricultural production and international logistics. Responsible for cost accounting , inventory management, and ensuring compliance with export regulations, tax laws, and food safety quality standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Maintain general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
Manage cost accounting for raw materials, labour, and factory overheads.
Monitor production variances, wastage, and profitability.
Oversee inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
Prepare and file statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, Withholding Tax).
Liaise with external auditors and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA (K) / ACCA qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably food processing.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems.
Sound understanding of Kenyan tax and statutory regulations.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
