Job summary

The Associate Strategy & Governance Analyst will support our SAGO in driving long-range strategy development, board-level reporting, and governance across the Karunguru Group and its business units. This role is pivotal in shaping the Group’s 10-25 year vision by combining research, analysis, and structured frameworks with governance and reporting.

Job descriptions & requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.     Strategy Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market, industry, and competitor analysis to identify long-term opportunities and risks.
  • Benchmark against global agribusiness and conglomerate practices.
  • Support scenario planning and megatrend analysis for strategic initiatives.

·       Synthesize large data sets into clear strategic insights and board-ready narratives

2.     Planning & Frameworks

·       Assist in developing long-range strategic frameworks and roadmaps.

·       Prepare business cases and investment analyses for strategic initiatives

 

·       Support alignment of business unit strategies with Group-level objectives. Assist in building and updating the Group Balanced Scorecard and KPI framework

3.     Board & Governance Support

·       Prepare board papers, governance reports, and strategic presentations[MK1] .

·       Track compliance with governance standards and recommend improvements.

·       Support board committees with structured insights and documentation.

·       Support the HOD meeting pack compilation across Group entities

4.     Reporting & Dashboards

·       Design and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to monitor KPIs.

·       Develop reporting templates for long-range strategy tracking.

·       Compile Group and SBU-level Executive Data Collection Frameworks

·       Provide quarterly and annual updates on strategic progress.

·       Maintain the department’s governance calendar, action logs, and meeting records

5.     Stakeholder Engagement

·       Collaborate with business unit leaders to gather inputs for strategic planning.

·       Support communication of strategic priorities across the Group.

·       Assist in workshops and strategy sessions with senior leadership.

·       Coordinate the quarterly and annual strategy review cycles

 

6.     Innovation & Risk Monitoring

·       Track emerging technologies, sustainability trends, and regulatory changes.

·       Identify potential risks to long-term strategy and propose mitigation approaches.

·       Support innovation initiatives aligned with Group strategy.
