Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Building Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. A construction foreman who has a solid background in the construction field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Reporting To: Site Agent
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans
• Producing schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities
• Quality Control of materials and works on site
• Manage work schedules Interpret construction drawings
Specific Duties:
1) Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plan
2) Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
3) Deploying skilled & unskilled labour on site, allocate general and daily responsibilities
4) Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
5) Ensure manpower and resources are adequately deployed
6) Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
7) Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
8) Receiving materials on site by ensuring the quality and quantity are in order
9) Resolve problems when they arise
10) Report on progress to Site Agent
11) Conduct daily site measurements
12) Perform basic engineering surveying on site.
13) Prepare daily work schedule.
14) Schedule material requisition in liaison with the site store keeper.
15) Lead and guide the team on health and safety matters on site.
16) Maintain the laborer register and reconcile with accounts department for payment on weekly basis
Person Specifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil/ Structural Engineering or Building Technology
- Registered with National Construction Authority.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines
- 2 years & above working experience
- Proven experience as construction foreman in multi-storey building
- Background in structural Engineering will be an added advantage
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Good physical condition and stamina
