The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development of markets in East Africa. The function includes the following main tasks & responsibilities:
Manage the local branch office in Nairobi Identify and implement business opportunities Develop customer relationships and deliver regional sales targets Market research in order to develop strategies and roadmaps for sales of the companyâs products and to secure more business relations Define country-specific product ranges and allocate suitable distribution partners Acquiring projects Know-how transfer (engineering, products) to local staff within East Africa Conduct local workshops, site visits and customer care in the relevant countries as well as visits/trainings and factory tours in Switzerland Use of CRM for all sales activities (contact reports, projects etc.) Place of work: based in Nairobi (Kenya)
PROFILE1st education: Mechanical Engineer MEP additional education: Marketing and or Sales / Business Administration MS Office, CAD application knowledge presentation skills & innovation/ creativity communication capacities (in particular: negotiating skills with different interlocutors, capacity to establish quickly a positive interpersonal level) personal capacities (flexibility/adaptability, strength of character, appearance, trustworthiness) English fluent, further languages are an advantage 5-10 years international experience in the construction sector preferably market experience in Africa
