to delivering high-impact projects across Kenya. Our operations span project
execution, financial control, stakeholder engagement, and long-term strategic
growth. We seek an experienced, forward-thinking CFO to join the senior
leadership team as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with corporate goals and long-term business planning.
- Provide financial insight and strategic recommendations to the CEO, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors to influence decision-making.
- Champion financial transformation initiatives, including process optimization, system integration, and performance metrics.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling with accurate cash flow and cost management for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Oversee preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports compliant with IFRS and statutory requirements.
- Evaluate financial performance, project costing, and job profitability; recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance with tax, regulatory, and corporate governance standards.
- Lead internal control evaluations and coordinate external audits, statutory audits, and financial risk assessments.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow optimization, working capital management, banking relationships, and credit facilities relevant to contract financing.
- Support capital structuring, project finance negotiations, and funding strategies to support expansion and execution of construction contracts.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate closely with operations, commercial, procurement, and contract management teams to embed financial discipline business-wide.
- Act as a strategic business partner across departments to provide advisory support on major initiatives, operational improvements, and investment decisions.
- Participate in executive and strategic planning forums, representing finance in cross-functional decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional accounting qualification required (CPA (K), ACCA, CA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10–12 years of progressively responsible finance experience, including at least 5 years in senior financial leadership/CFO roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, project accounting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial control across complex operations, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Experience leading finance teams and partnering with senior business leaders to influence strategy and performance.
