Job Description/Requirements
Our client, a Fintech company based in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking to fill the role of Collection Agents/Debt Collectors.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Loan Repayment Reminders & Collections
▪ Contact customers via calls, SMS, and email to remind them of upcoming or overdue repayments.
▪ Assist customers in creating reasonable repayment plans and drive timely recovery of outstanding debts.
2. Account Information Management
▪ Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer account records.
▪ Log all collection calls, customer feedback, and repayment commitments in the system.
3. Risk Identification & Reporting
▪ Identify high-risk or non-responsive accounts and report them promptly to the relevant department.
▪ Recommend appropriate handling strategies for unreachable or potentially fraudulent customers.
4. Collection Targets
▪ Achieve daily and monthly debt recovery KPIs as set by the company.
5. Compliance & Customer Communication Standards
▪ Strictly adhere to company collection policies, local financial regulations, and professional customer interaction guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
▪ Minimum of Certificate in a business related field or its equivalent;
▪ At least 6 months experience in customer service, or debt collection is highly preferred;
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong customer service orientation and stress tolerance;
▪ Proficient in computer common office software (e.g., MS Office);
▪ Strong sense of responsibility, execution capability, and team spirit;
▪ Willing to work in shifts and perform occasional overtime when necessary;
▪ Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and awareness of compliance requirements.
