Job Description/Requirements
1. Fleet Operations & Maintenance
• Oversee the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of company vehicles.
• Schedule regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and efficiency.
• Implement policies to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
2. Driver Management
• Hire, train, and supervise drivers and other fleet staff.
• Ensure drivers comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor driver performance and implement disciplinary actions if necessary.
3. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain records of vehicle inspections, licensing, and insurance.
• Enforce safety protocols and implement accident prevention strategies.
4. Cost Control & Budgeting
• Manage fleet-related budgets, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
• Optimize route planning to reduce fuel consumption and operational costs.
• Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
5. Fleet Tracking & Reporting
• Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle locations and usage.
• Generate reports on fuel efficiency, driver performance, and fleet expenses.
• Make data-driven decisions to improve fleet operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Diploma degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 2-3 years of Experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance laws.
• Analytical skills for cost control and efficiency improvements.
