We are looking for a diligent and reliable QA to support our dairy processing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving raw goat milk, conducting basic quality checks, operating pasteurization and fermentation equipment, and assisting with yoghurt packaging to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Milk Reception:
- Receive milk deliveries from farm and partner farmers
- Record daily milk quantities and sources
- Conduct preliminary quality checks (smell, temperature, alcohol test, lactometer readings)
- Ensure immediate cooling and storage of received milk
Milk Processing:
- Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment
- Mix starter cultures and flavors as per standard procedures
- Maintain hygiene and temperature control throughout fermentation
Packaging & Labeling:
- Fill yoghurt into designated containers using filling equipment
- Seal, label, and batch-code products accurately
- Ensure correct packaging materials and branding are used
- Store finished products appropriately in the cold room
Cold room Management:
- Manage raw and finished product movement within the cold room.
- Implement FIFO to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Maintain stock accuracy by recording batch numbers and locations.
- Conduct periodic cold room stock counts and reconcile differences.
- Ensure cold room products are well palletized and traceable.
Sanitation & Hygiene:
- Clean and sanitize equipment, floors, utensils, and processing areas before and after production
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP protocols
Other Duties:
- Assist with stocktaking of raw materials and packaging supplies
- Report any equipment faults or quality issues
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Quality Assurance or related field is an added advantage
- 2+ year experience in a dairy processing facility preferred
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices
- Physically fit and able to lift milk containers
- Honest, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Willing to relocate near our facility in Eastern Bypass Ruiru
