Job Description/Requirements
Location: Machakos County – Kitengela
Salary: KSh 50,000 – 70,000 Gross
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality programs in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
* Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological testing on food samples.
* Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations throughout production and distribution.
* Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and corrective actions for reporting and traceability.
* Collaborate with production and R\&D teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
* Educate and train staff on food safety practices, sanitation, and quality assurance.
* Investigate customer complaints and quality non-conformance, implementing corrective measures.
* Stay updated with the latest food safety regulations, industry trends, and technologies.
Requirements
* Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in food science and analytical procedures.
