Background Information

Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.

We are seeking to recruit at least three (3) Industrial Designers to join a leading furniture manufacturing company located in the industrial area of West Athens, Greece.

THE JOB

Work as an Industrial Designer in a large furniture factory in the industrial area of West Athens, Greece.

Job Tasks Include:

• Designing innovative furniture products according to customer and market requirements.
• Preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
• Developing production-ready designs and technical specifications for manufacturing.
• Analyzing and interpreting technical drawings, manufacturing requirements, and product specifications.
• Collaborating closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure successful product development.
• Creating prototypes and modifying designs based on production feedback and customer requirements.
• Ensuring that designs meet quality, functionality, aesthetic, and cost-efficiency standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the design and production departments.
• Participating in training programs on company-specific equipment, procedures, and Greek language learning.

Benefits

• Work 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
• Net monthly salary of €1,200 approximately KES 180,000.
• Overtime hours are paid separately according to Greek labor regulations.
• Opportunity to renew the contract with the same employer or secure employment with another employer in Greece after contract completion.
• No time limit on future contracts, allowing long-term residence and employment opportunities in Greece.

• Initial employment contract of one (1) year.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are targeting candidates with the following qualifications:

• Men or women aged 26 to 45 years.
• University degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Mechanical Design, or a related design field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in the furniture industry.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical and manufacturing designs.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and SolidWorks, or other comparable design software.
• Strong understanding of furniture production processes and manufacturing requirements.
• Willingness to undergo training on company-specific equipment and operational procedures.
• Willingness to learn the Greek language.
