Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 7,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, our farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Behavior Change Specialist who will lead the implementation of behavior change interventions focused on improving the impact of our program. This will include leading a team that's running a project with community nutrition trainers, conducting on-the-ground research on behavior change, and creating new services that attract clients. You'll be involved in the design and implementation of our behavior change interventions and report to the Kenya Behavior Change Associate.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage innovations aimed at improving customer experience and program impact
  • Coordinate with other teams and partners to implement behavior change programs
  • Use Human-Centered Design approaches to learn from customer to improve our training and nutrition programs
  • Rapidly scale successful new program interventions
  • Directly manage several reports and invest in their professional growth

QUALIFICATIONS

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, we are looking for the following:

  • 2+ years of experience working on behavior change projects
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Experience mentoring others and supporting them to achieve their professional goals
  • Familiarity with a focus group and survey design
  • Commitment to building an inclusive and diverse team culture
  • Excel or Google Sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets))
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Fluent in English & Kiswahili
  • A willingness to commit to living in a rural area
