Job Description/Requirements
- Lead and execute QMS audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and the auditing guidelines of ISO 19011, ensuring that audits are thorough and impartial.
- Plan audit engagements from start to finish: develop audit plans, assemble and brief the audit team, and coordinate audit scope and schedule with clients.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of audit team members during each assignment, ensuring auditors are competent for the scope and that the team operates with objectivity and impartiality.
- Conduct opening and closing meetings with client management, clearly communicating the audit objectives, scope, findings, and conclusions.
- Deliver comprehensive, objective, and well-structured audit reports that highlight conformity, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement in the client’s quality management system.
- Provide guidance and expert advice to clients and team members on QMS principles, best practices, and interpretations of ISO 9001 requirements to foster improvement (without compromising impartiality).
- Support the continuous improvement of Qualisol’s certification process, for example by reviewing and updating auditing procedures, sharing lessons learned, and staying current with ISO 9001 revisions or accreditation requirements (ISO/IEC 17021-1).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field – for example, Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or another technical discipline related to management systems.
- Certification & Training: Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 (completed formal training based on ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements). Additional auditor qualifications in other standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) are an asset.
- Industry Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in industry or business environments, including 2+ years in a quality management or supervisory role. Practical experience implementing or managing ISO 9001 or similar management systems is highly valued.
- Audit Experience: Proven auditing track record with a minimum of 10 completed QMS audits, at least 5 of which were as the Lead Auditor. Experience auditing across a variety of sectors (e.g., manufacturing, services, public sector) is preferred, demonstrating the ability to understand different organizational contexts and risks.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and the concept of risk-based thinking in quality management. Able to assess how organizations identify and address risks and opportunities within their QMS.
- Good understanding of relevant compliance and regulatory considerations related to quality (e.g., statutory and regulatory requirements that different industries must meet) and how these integrate into a QMS.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills – able to lead an audit team effectively, coach trainee auditors, and foster a cooperative environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to ask incisive questions, listen actively, and resolve conflicts or differences of interpretation during audits.
- Unwavering integrity, professionalism, and impartiality in carrying out audits. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining situational awareness and safety consciousness during on-site assessments.
