Job summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, supervising, and managing the installation and maintenance of mechanical building services for real estate developments, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, supervise, and coordinate the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lifts, and other building services.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs while ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor construction progress, and enforce quality control throughout project execution.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Manage contractors, resolve technical issues, and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements across all mechanical works.
- Prepare project progress reports and monitor project performance against timelines, budgets, and quality objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and a member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Real Estate or Property Development.
- Proven experience in mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and lift systems.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, building regulations, AutoCAD/Revit MEP, and excellent project coordination and problem-solving skills.
