Job Description/Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:
Specifically, the Principal will be expected to:

1.    Provide leadership at the Institute
2.    Develop and Implement MTTI Strategic Plan to ensure Achievement of the Institute’s Vision and Mission
3.    Work closely with the Director of Missions and the Management Board to build a Corporate Culture of Innovation, Creativity, Ingenuity and Integrity at the Institute
4.    Ensure Policies and Procedures Conform to Legal Statutory and Regulatory Requirements
5.    Develop Competent Human Resources to ensure High Standards are met for the Students and Stakeholders by setting targets, monitoring and appraising staff annually
6.    Promote Staff Motivation to ensure Exceptional Delivery of Results
7.    Manage the Institute funds in accordance with delegated authority and ensure Financial aspects of the Institute are Sustainable
8.    Periodically review Curriculum as appropriate in line with the demands of the Industry
9.    Ensure the Institute complies with all TVET regulations and requirements
10.    Oversee budgeting and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff and equipment
11.    Set Learning Goals for the instructors and Students
12.    Chair the Academic Board Committee of the Institute
13.    Chair the Graduation Committee of the Institute
14.    Create collaboration and partnership with industry and other stakeholders
15.    Represent the Institute at various forums
16.    Organize the institutes events
17.    Ensure smooth running of the Institute at all times

Qualifications & Experience:
•    A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Education, Community Development or equivalent from an accredited and recognized institution
•    At least 5 years’ experience in managing a reputable College
•    Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and high in integrity
•    Registered by Technical and Vocational Training Authority
•    Demonstrating high level of leadership, planning, performance and reporting skills
•    Possess budgeting and financial management skills
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, and technologically savvy
•    Certificate of good conduct
