Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Intern will support daily production activities to ensure that all goat milk and yoghurt products meet Caprine Foods’ quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in dairy processing and food safety practices.

  • Experience Level : Internship & Graduate
  • Experience Length : No Experience/Less than 1 year
  • Working Hours : Full Time

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities


Milk Reception:

  • Assist in receiving milk deliveries from farm and partner farmers.
  • Record quantities and conduct basic quality checks (smell, temperature, alcohol test, lactometer).
  • Support proper cooling and storage of milk.


Milk Processing:

  • Learn to operate and monitor pasteurization and fermentation equipment.
  • Assist in mixing starter cultures and flavors following standard procedures.
  • Support hygiene and temperature control throughout processing.


Packaging & Labeling:

  • Help fill, seal, and label yoghurt containers.
  • Ensure correct packaging and batch coding under supervision.
  • Store finished products properly in the cold room.


Cold Room Management:

  • Support stock movement, FIFO, and traceability.
  • Help with cold room stock counts and record keeping.


Sanitation & Hygiene:

  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and processing areas.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and basic HACCP principles.


Other Duties


  • Assist with stocktaking of raw materials and packaging.
  • Report any irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Diploma or ongoing studies in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Physically fit and able to handle milk containers.
  • Honest, punctual, and attentive to detail.
