Real Estate Agent – Land Scouting (Gig Role)

Overview

We are seeking a freelance Real Estate Agent (Land Scout) to support land acquisition for an industrial development project in Kwale or Kilifi Counties, Kenya.

This is a gig-based role with milestone-based pay, ideal for candidates with local expertise in land markets, zoning, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Scout parcels of 3+ acres in Kwale or Kilifi County near MV lines (11/33 KV); proximity to LV lines is a plus.
  
• Verify zoning (industrial or convertible) and confirm parcels are outside flood plains.
  
• Assess accessibility and suitability for industrial use.
  
• Prepare structured proposals including GPS coordinates, parcel size, ownership (or proxy), price, and access details.
  
• Conduct extended due diligence and assist in seller negotiations for selected parcels.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Kwale or Kilifi County geography and land market.Experience in real estate, land scouting, or property acquisition.
• Ability to evaluate zoning, accessibility, and environmental factors.
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  
• Access to transportation for site visits.

Compensation (Gig-Based)USD 50 per logistics/site visit
USD 75 per viable proposal (up to 4)
USD 100 for extended due diligence & negotiation
Target land price: KES 400,000 – 500,000 per acre
