We are seeking a passionate Sales Executive with experience in the certification industry to help expand our reach and connect organizations with our valuable services.

Role Purpose: The Sales Executive – Certification Services will drive business growth by leveraging their understanding of ISO certification processes and the needs of organizations seeking certification. This role involves identifying prospective clients, building strong relationships, and tailoring solutions that align with Qualisol Certs’ service offerings (ISO certifications, training, audits). The ideal candidate has a blend of sales acumen and technical familiarity with management system standards, enabling them to credibly consult clients and foster trust from the first interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to generate leads and secure new business for our certification, audit, and training services across various industries (e.g., manufacturing, food & agriculture, services, etc.).
  • Proactively identify and approach organizations that can benefit from certification (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and other standards), as well as companies needing training or precertification support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients through regular communication, meetings, and presentations. Understand each client’s certification needs and pain points to offer tailored solutions.
  • Use your knowledge of certification processes to educate clients on our services: explain the certification journey (from initial inquiry to audit and certification), the benefits of accredited certification, and how Qualisol Certs adds value (impartial audits, knowledgeable auditors, timely service, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and service agreements. Coordinate internally with the technical and operations teams to ensure proposals are accurate and achievable (scheduling, auditor availability, scope clarification).
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for certification services. Monitor your sales pipeline using CRM tools, provide accurate forecasts, and report on sales performance to management.
  • Represent Qualisol Certs Ltd. at industry events, webinars, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Promote our brand and values, and identify new market trends or opportunities for services (e.g., new ISO standards or sectors with growing compliance needs).
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to our values of integrity and impartiality – no misrepresentation of services, and careful management of client expectations regarding outcomes (the Sales Executive must never promise certain certification results, maintaining the independence of the audit process).
  • Collaborate with the delivery team post-sale to ensure a smooth handover of client requirements, and follow up with clients after service delivery to ensure satisfaction and explore upsell opportunities (such as multi-scheme certifications or recurring training needs).

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A technical background (e.g., in Engineering or Food Science) with strong sales experience, or any additional training in ISO management systems, will be considered a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the certification, training, or consulting industry. Experience selling services related to ISO standards or working in a certification body is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of ISO certification and audit processes. Familiarity with popular standards like ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 22000 (Food Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 45001 (OH&S) etc., and the general requirements organizations must meet for certification.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to articulate the value proposition of certification and our services clearly to diverse stakeholders, from quality managers to Clevel executives.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills. Capable of crafting proposals that meet client needs while aligning with company objectives, and closing deals effectively.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Good organizational skills to manage multiple leads and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Customer-centric mindset – adept at building trust, addressing concerns with empathy, and ensuring a positive client experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Knowledge of the East African market and business environment is an advantage (understanding of local industries, economic drivers, and regulatory climate).
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism. Must understand and respect the importance of impartial certification; willing to say “no” to potential business that would compromise our standards or independence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. Ability to develop clear sales reports and strategic plans. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed to meet clients or attend events.
