Senior Quantity Surveyor

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project budgets for real estate developments.
2. Manage project costs, monitor budgets, and prepare financial and cost performance reports.
3. Administer construction contracts, evaluate variations, and process interim and final payments.
4. Lead procurement processes, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contractor selection.
5. Conduct site measurements, valuations, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
6. Advise management on commercial risks, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities.
7. Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) and a member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK).
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Real Estate or Property Development, including at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing the commercial and cost aspects of large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use development projects.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Project Management, or Contract Management is an added advantage.
