JOB TITLE: SENIOR TRAVEL CONSULTANT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both corporate and leisure clients.
  • Build long-term relationships by understanding client preferences, travel goals, and budgets.
  • Advise clients on travel policies, visa requirements, travel insurance, and destination options.

Travel Planning & Booking
  • Design customized travel itineraries including flights, accommodation, transfers, and activities.
  • Utilize CRM systems, GDS (Global Distribution Systems), B2B booking tools, and travel engines for accurate reservations.
  • Ensure seamless coordination for complex corporate travel including multi-leg trips, conferences, and international assignments.

Industry Research & Advisory
  • Stay updated with global travel trends, airline policies, hotel promotions, visa regulations, and emerging destinations.
  • Provide clients with insights on cost-effective travel solutions, seasonal promotions, and loyalty programs.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and review travel documents including e-tickets, visa paperwork, and itineraries.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate travel policies, local regulations, and safety requirements.

Problem Solving & Crisis Management
  • Handle unexpected travel disruptions such as flight cancellations, delays, or emergencies.
  • Proactively offer alternative travel arrangements to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, and partners to resolve issues efficiently.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
  • Mentor junior travel consultants, sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to enhance travel packages.

Performance & Reporting
  • Track client bookings, expenditure, and travel trends to provide actionable reports.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in invoicing, billing, and reporting.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
  • Degree or Diploma in Travel, Tourism, or Hospitality Management.
  • Proven experience handling both leisure and corporate travel.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, B2B travel tools, and booking engines.
  • Strong understanding of travel industry trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
