2. Key Responsibilities

A. Installation & Technical Work

· Install solar PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, battery systems, and related electrical components.

· Execute AC and DC wiring according to national codes and Plasma Solar standards.

· Conduct site surveys, measurements, shading analysis, and system layout planning.

· Assist in commissioning, system testing, performance verification, and troubleshooting.

· Implement grounding/earthing systems, surge protection devices, isolators, breakers, and other safety mechanisms.

B. Quality Assurance & Compliance

· Ensure installations meet British Standards (BS), local electrical standards, and internal quality guidelines.

· Conduct quality checks at every step of the installation process.

· Complete all required documentation including installation checklists, testing sheets, and client handover forms.

· Maintain neat cable management, proper labeling, and tidy installation finishing.

C. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

· Follow all safety guidelines, including proper PPE use, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and working-at-heights protocols.

· Identify risks and report any unsafe conditions or near-misses.

· Ensure safe use, handling, and storage of tools and electrical equipment.

D. Customer Interaction

· Maintain professionalism while interacting with clients on-site.

· Educate customers on system operation basics during handover.

· Support the after-sales team with troubleshooting and maintenance when required.

E. Teamwork & Reporting

· Collaborate with fellow installers, electricians, and project supervisors to complete projects on time.

· Submit daily progress reports and escalate technical challenges promptly.

· Ensure all tools, equipment, and unused materials are returned, cleaned, or reported.

3. Qualifications & Experience

· Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or related field.

· Valid T2 or T3 Electrician License preferred (T3 highly desirable).

· 2–5 years practical experience in solar installation (residential, commercial, or hybrid systems).

· Familiarity with hybrid, off-grid, and grid-tied solar systems.

· Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation layouts.

· Experience with brands such as Deye, Victron, Growatt, Dahai, etc., is an added advantage.

· Physically fit and comfortable working at heights, rooftops, and outdoor environments.

5. Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Installation quality score ≥ 95% on internal audit and inspection.

· Zero safety violations or incidents reported.

· Completion of installations within the agreed project timelines.

· Customer satisfaction rating upon handover.

· Proper management of tools and minimal material wastage.

6. Terms of Employment

· Full-time field-based position.

· Travel to various project sites required.

· Compensation based on experience, licensing level, and performance.
