To create opportunities for Fosroc products at the early stages of construction projects in the region. To generate leads from consultant engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects and government bodies and secure maximum product specification in line with the Company sales plan. To continually create and maintain high market awareness of our companys range of products being specified in new project tenders within the region served by Fosroc Kenya. To coordinate the marketing activities of the organization.Responsibilities To call on Consultant Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Government Departments, and private facility/infrastructure owners to allow Fosroc products to be specified before the tendering stage,
To get Fosroc products specified in new projects, participate in tenders and to take a lead in ensuring market penetration of companys new products being introduced the local market from time to time.
To coordinate monthly specifier/consultants training events for the company,
To run a sustained long-term campaign to drive specifications which are not easily broken by competitors,
To liaise closely with the sales team when calling on prospective customers at the pre-tender stages in to ensure that Fosroc product submission is made,
To effectively monitor and drive the projects pipeline from specification to conversion working with specific sales managers assigned to each project,
Where competitor's products have been specified, the jobholder will make counter proposals with appropriate supporting documentation.
To introduce new products to major Contractors, Quantity Surveyors, Consultant Engineers, Architects, and other relevant bodies including the built environment department/ministries in the government,
To work with the General Sales manager and other sales colleagues to produce and deliver technical presentations when required.
Execute and monitor the progress of each contracting work being undertaken to ensure its proper implementation, timely completion, and profitability. Follow up.
Compilation of reports and forecasts as required. In addition to project pipelines and Sales Action Plans.
Awareness of competitors activities and identify relevant threats and opportunities and report them to the line manager/management.
Collect and feedback basic market information particularly market trends and competitors activities in the Consultant circle.
To coordinate the branding and visibility activities for the company work with the procurement team to ensure that all relevant items are procured and distributed by the sales team,
Perform any other duties assigned by General Sales Manager or GMSkills required> 4 years experience managing and promoting high specification industrial products.
> 3 years working experience as a Specification/Sales Manager in the Building and Construction industry.
> Good presentation skills and prior experience in trainings and marketing presentations.
> Ability to start and drive new initiatives.
