JOB TITLE:STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING INTERN MATERIALS)

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

SALARY:KSHS.15,000 -20,000 

JOB LOCATION:MOMBASA ROAD

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the engineering team in performing basic structural calculations.
• Help analyze the load-bearing capacity of structural components.
• Assist in preparing simple structural drawings and layout sketches.
• Make minor edits to existing drawings under supervision using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Help compile design reports, calculation sheets, and material schedules.
• Organize project files and assist in preparing documents for submission.
• Join site visits to observe construction and take notes or measurements.
• Assist in documenting site conditions and reporting back to the design team.
• Participate in internal training sessions and shadow senior engineers.
• Take initiative to learn company processes, tools, and basic structural design standards.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
• Basic understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction methods
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Prokon, STAAD, or similar) is an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic work environment
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
