Our client is a leading prestigious, innovative, and rapidly growing real estate company based in Nairobi, Kenya. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Surveyor to support ongoing real estate development and construction projects in Mombasa. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, setting out works, verifying measurements, and ensuring all construction activities are executed according to approved drawings and coordinates.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct land, topographical, and construction site surveys.
- Carry out setting out and leveling works for construction activities.
- Verify site measurements, coordinates, and boundaries.
- Ensure accuracy of project layouts in accordance with approved drawings.
- Operate surveying equipment including Total Station, GPS, and leveling instruments.
- Prepare survey reports, field notes, and measurement records.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Monitor site progress and provide technical survey support.
- Conduct as-built surveys and maintain accurate survey documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and site requirements.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geospatial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in construction or real estate development projects.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment.
- Proficiency in survey software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Essential Competencies
- Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, or large-scale real estate development projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction setting out and site coordination.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates based in Mombasa are highly preferred.
- Ability to work in demanding site environments and tight project timelines.
